An architectural tour for first-time visitors to Frankfurt and at the same time an introduction to the facets of modern architecture.
Tour start at the hotel, welcome and getting to know each other
The first destination of the architectural tour is Frankfurt's Westhafen: a former port area, newly used for offices and luxurious apartments with boat docks on the doorstep. The landmark is the 'Westhafentower' with its glass façade made up of triangles.
On the Museumsufer, the museums built in the 1980s provide an overview of the architectural trends of that time.
At the same time, there is a magnificent panorama of the high-rise buildings on the northern bank of the Main.
The architecture tour continues on the Römerberg, the historic center of Frankfurt, which also offers a wide range of old and modern architecture. Among other things, you can see the town hall 'Der Römer', the Schirn exhibition hall, the Saalgasse with the townhouses built in the 1980s and the 'new Frankfurt old town', which opened in 2018.
This architectural tour ends on the observation deck of the MainTower. At a height of 200 m, in the middle of the high-rise buildings of the banking center, there is a wonderful view of Frankfurt and its surroundings.
